WorldHost Award

Customer Service is essential to us here at Glasgow Fort and we aim to provide our customers with the best experience possible.

In particular, we take pride in our staff’s participation in the WorldHost Training programme which ensures excellent customer service standards throughout the entire shopping centre.

All members of the site cleaning, security and management teams were trained to precise World Host standards and to maintain customer service levels. Our output is regularly assessed by mystery shoppers, and we often conduct customer surveys to ensure we’re continually progressing our services.

We are also proud to be part of Dementia Friends. Most recently we were thrilled to be awarded the Gold Customer Service Award, which we consider a huge honour.

We believe that the pride we have in our team, and dedication we have to our customers, is what drives Glasgow Fort to be the family friendly establishment it is known as today.

Meet your Centre Director

Hi, I’m Phil Goodman, Centre Director at Glasgow Fort.

I have worked at the core of Glasgow Fort since it was established in 2004, and during my time here, I’ve witnessed Glasgow Fort become the lifestyle destination it is today. Beloved by shoppers, families and cinema goers, the centre is a showcase for British Land’s intelligent place making. It’s a place people prefer, no matter what they enjoy doing – a place with customers and community at its heart.

One of the things I enjoy most about my job is the team spirit and enthusiasm that is integral to the overall experience at Glasgow Fort. As well as being committed to the team’s overall involvement, I am also completely dedicated to improving the visitor’s experience. We’re a large part of the nearby civic landscape, and during my time here I have worked to strengthen the links between Glasgow Fort and the surrounding community.

It is my belief that Glasgow Fort should be embedded in, and supportive of, the East End community; all the while holding the position of top shopping and leisure destination for the central belt. This is due to its ideal location for neighbouring regions. I feel very grateful when local people express their pride in Glasgow Fort, and when new customers – or returning customers from further away – leave good feedback about their overall experience.
