Ways to recycle at Glasgow Fort
From clothes and shoes to food and beauty packaging there are lots of ways to recycle at Glasgow Fort and often with the chance to receive a discount or vouchers in return!
As a centre, we are committed to working towards a more sustainable future and we want to encourage our visitors to do the same.
We hope by sharing these great initiatives offered by our retailers we can help make recycling even easier for shoppers.
Here are all the ways you can recycle at Glasgow Fort
Argos
Installation and recycling service for appliances. After installing and checking your new product works, Argos will disconnect your old appliance and recycle it along with any packaging. Find out more.
Boots
Recycle your empty cosmetics and toiletries in exchange for advantage points. Fragrance refills are available at the perfume counter.
Clarks
Through the Clarks ShoeShare program, customers can donate worn or unwanted shoes that would otherwise be thrown away, diverting shoes from landfills, and allowing Clarks to support their charity partners in transforming lives. Find out more.
Costa
Costa recycles all hot takeaway cups in-store from anywhere- even from other brands.
If you use a reusable cup, you get a free coffee after 5 cups.
Costa will also refill your water bottle in store for you.
EE & BT
Recycle or trade in any phones, batteries, or any BT product in-store.
Hobbycraft
Hobbycraft offers a drop-off point to hand over old batteries and helium canisters to be recycled/disposed of correctly.
Holland and Barrett
Holland and Barrett offer lines that have refillable packaging as well as offering refills in store body washes, deodorant and beauty.
H&M
They will take any of your unwanted clothes and textiles from any brand or any condition and recycle them when you hand them over to the cash desk you will receive a thank you voucher.
Lush
The “Bring It Back” scheme allows customers to bring back their clean empty Lush pots and receive 50p per pot or bring x5 and receive and free face mask.
Mamas and Papas
“Loved for Life” offers parents a range of sustainable services that ensure their baby products will be reused, refreshed or recycled from pushchairs to baby clothes.
M&S
Donate your preloved M&S school wear to Oxfam in-store and receive 20% off kidswear with Sparks.
Next
Next recycle plastic packaging from orders/returns in-store where customers can pop it in a box, and they’ll do the rest.
O2
Sell your phone, tablet, watch, Air Pods, console or MacBook to O2 Recycle and get paid straight into your bank.
Pro Cook
Pro Cook has a sustainable collection called Life’s a Beach made from biodegradable materials.
Rituals
Rituals offer refills for most of their products and all packaging is recyclable in some way. Find out more.
Schuh- Sell Your Soles
In Schuh you can bring in unwanted or old pairs of shoes from anywhere and get £5 off a pair. Find out more.

Skechers have a recycled shoes and trainers collection in a variety of styles featuring shoes made from recycled materials.
Specsavers
Find glasses and contact lens recycling in-store. Specsavers work with MYgroup to turn your old glasses into something different. Find out more.

Hand in your clothes to be donated to Oxfam and get £5 off when you next spend £30 in store. Find out more.
The Perfume Shop
The Perfume Shop encourages people to bring back their empty fragrance bottles and customers will receive 15% from their subsequent purchase, plus they plant a tree for every bottle returned. Find out more.

“Give up clothes for good” works with cancer research. Donate your clothes in-store, to be sold and funds put towards cancer research. Find out more.
