Shelter Scotland’s first of a kind pop-up shop has now opened its doors

Offering clothes and accessories from designer brands including Biba, Michael Kors, and Radley, with all proceeds going to the charity.

The volunteer-run store is the first Shelter Scotland pop-up shop to be situated on an out of town outdoor site anywhere in the UK and will be open through the Christmas trading period until January 2021.

The charity’s new pop-up can be found next to Bodycare and O2 and offers a range of designer brands at discount prices with a selection of high-quality donated clothes as well as vintage one-of-a-kind items. Shoppers visiting the 1800 sq. ft store will also have the chance to sign a petition in support of the charity’s latest campaign, #BuildScotlandsFuture, which calls for more social housing to be built in Scotland to transform the lives of thousands of people.

Would you consider volunteering?  The store is also accepting donations.

Our Community Fund supporting local causes that matter to you

A recent grant from British Land Plc. has allowed us to make a cash donation to two fabulous charities

Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity £1,000

Sunshine Wishes Children's Charity is a Scottish charity whose aim is to fulfill dreams for sick & terminally ill children, children with learning disabilities, and kids who are underprivileged. SWCC grants wishes to children of any age, believing that every child should experience happiness and put their illness/situation on hold - even if it is for just one day.

Beltel UK (Motherwell) £1,000

Betel UK is an independent Christian charity for men, women, and families affected by drug and alcohol addiction and homelessness. Through work, well-being, and worship, the charity works to restore previously broken lives.

Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas

We are delighted to announce that we are proudly supporting Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas again this year and will be announcing our Christmas fundraising initiative very soon - we're hoping you'll be able to get involved.

The sad reality is that 1 in 5 children in Scotland and 1 in 3 in Glasgow live in poverty and many affected by hardship, especially this year.  Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas donates Christmas gifts to children affected by hardship or living in poverty and launched its first campaign in Christmas 2014. Since then our kind community has supported 45,763 children through our partners at an approximate value of £1,238,295 to children living locally all over Glasgow and the surrounding regions.  We want to make sure every child is included at Christmas and has a wonderfully magical experience.
