Planning Your Visit

Following government guidance, many of our stores are now open and some of our cafes and restaurants are also preparing to fully reopen from 15th July, as well as our barbers.

Please note that our retailers and eateries may be working to slightly different timescales for their reopening, as well as reduced or different opening times. They may also be implementing new systems to help everybody to stay safe, so please always check with them directly before setting off.

Some of our cafes and restaurants will continue to offer a take away, click and collect or delivery service only for now.

You can find out what’s open here: https://www.glasgowfort.com/eatdrinkshop/now-open

Getting here and heading home
We’re making some temporary changes to help keep everyone safe while visiting us, which may affect your usual travel arrangements.

If we become particularly busy, individual retailers may ask you to queue considerately in a designated area outside, and we may also temporarily close our car parks.

Car parks
We’ve adapted our car parks to help everyone keep a safe distance when visiting us.

Our multi storey car park will remain closed.

All our other car parks are open as usual; however, we will be carefully monitoring traffic and may need to temporarily adapt or close some of our car parks if we reach capacity.

Other ways to travel
Anyone planning to use public transport to visit Glasgow Fort should check their service in advance. Please visit https://www.firstgroup.com/greater-glasgow/routes-and-maps/network-maps

Cyclists can make use of secured bike racks located across the car parks.

Updates to our facilities and services
To help keep our customers and colleagues safe while visiting us, we are making some changes to the facilities and services we are currently able to offer from 29th June 2020.

Please visit our Facilities and services page to find out more.

Many of our retailers offer a click and collect service, meaning that you can place your order in advance and collect at a time to suit you. Find out more about how this works here.

Stay safe
The wellbeing of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority and so we’re introducing new measures from 29th June 2020 to keep Glasgow Fort as safe as possible for everyone.

This means that some things may look a little different next time you visit us, so please look out for:

  • Hand sanitising stations
  • New signage to help everyone keep a two-metre distance from others
  • Plexiglass screen barriers where required

Our Glasgow Fort on-site team have all been provided with suitable PPE such as masks and gloves to help them carry out their roles safely. We’re also continuing with our enhanced cleaning regimes, including regular cleaning of key touchpoints throughout each day.

You can help everyone to stay safe by:

  • Staying at home if you, or anyone in your household, has symptoms of Covid-19
  • Washing your hands regularly
  • Keeping a two-metre distance from people outside of your household
  • Using contactless payments wherever possible

In line with government guidance, we’re also asking visitors to shop by themselves wherever possible, and to keep household groups to a minimum if not, as well as wear face coverings while inside shops.

Please be aware that our outdoor children’s play facilities are closed until further notice.
