Hobbycraft’s New Collection of Craft Workshops
From floral spring décor to colourful art classes, Hobbycraft’s new workshops are the ideal starting point for people looking to kickstart a new pastime for 2025.
With sessions varying from spring-themed decorations such as tulip wreaths and bunny crochet pots to classic crafts including watercolour painting and macrame making, Hobbycraft’s new variety of workshops cater to every customer, whether that be a seasoned pro looking to master a new craft or a beginner looking to try out a hobby for the new year.
January and February can be a challenging period for many people, with the Christmas comedown in motion and wet weather season in full swing. Not only are these workshops a great source of indoor entertainment for solo crafters, friends, families and loved ones, with sessions lasting between 1h and 1h30m, but they are also a fantastic way to aid mindfulness during this time. It has long been proven that crafting can stimulate the mind in a positive way and alleviate the symptoms of stress and anxiety. Learning a new skill can boost self-esteem, improve cognitive function; all the while giving you something positive and creative to focus on.
The feel-good chemical dopamine is released in the brain when it’s engaged in a creative activity such as painting or drawing and helps you cope with stress and re-assess problems, whilst knitting, crocheting and macrame are activities that promote relaxation with their repetitive and rhythmic motions.
The workshops are designed and hosted by Hobbycraft Artisans or craft experts. Each host will bring their expertise in a specific craft to classes that encourage people to showcase their creative side, with solo and group sessions available to book.
By signing up to a session, attendees will receive a craft kit with all the tools needed for the workshop prior to the event. Pricing for each session will vary between £7 – £64 and can be booked online here Hobbycraft Online and In-Store Craft Workshops | HobbycraftHobbycraft Online and In-Store Craft Workshops | Hobbycraft
