Looking for things to do near Glasgow in the evening this Christmas time?

Stores are open until 10pm weekdays and 8pm Saturdays, and many restaurants open until 10 or 11pm, we’ve got plenty to tempt you with. To help with your planning, we’ve created our guide to making the most of your time.
1.Make every night a Friday night
With flowing cocktails and charismatic bartenders, every night feels like a Friday night at Fridays! Choose from a whole host of amazing cocktail creations, from a Pornstar Martini and Tequila Sunrise to a Moscow Mule, Old Fashioned or Paloma. Whether it's a work party, get-together with friends, or a family gathering; celebrate the festivities at Fridays with our delicious Christmas menu that has something everyone will love.
There are also plenty of no and low alcohol cocktails on offer, from a Grapefruit Seltzer to a Ginless Garden, as well as fish and vegetarian food options to cater to all.
2. Get the festive feels at our traditional Christmas market
The Glasgow Fort Christmas market returns for 2022. From 18th November until 2nd January, shop at the traditional stalls serving up warming comfort food and drink. Buy unique, handmade Christmas decorations and gifts and enjoy a beverage at the Bavarian Bar. The market will also have rides and entertainment for all the family. A great way to spend an evening with family and friends this festive season.
3. Get feasting with Frankie and Benny's festive menu
Frankie and Benny's have gone all out with their feasting menu this year, packing it with festive flair and flavours that sleigh. There’s Porchetta Croquettes, a Glad Tidings Baked Pasta and a Choux Bun Tower of dreams to finish your meal off in spectacular fashion. Tuck into 2 Merry meals for £18.99 or 3 Christmassy courses for £22.99. Plus try one of their signature merry-maker cocktails.
4. Tuck into a Neopolitan pizza at Leopardo Pizza
The latest addition to the food line-up at Glasgow Fort, Leopardo Pizza is serving up a delicious range of fresh Neapolitan style pizza. With weekly specials, diners can choose from a delicious range of pizzas, including Leopardo Da Vinci, angry chicken and Parma pizzas. Or choose from the selection of specially created cocktails, including strawberry cornetto and Ferrero Rocher.
5. Warm up with wagamama's winter menu
Try the new vegetable or chicken gyoza ramen; steamed gyoza with ramen noodles, vegetable broth, bok choi, tea stained egg with fresh chilli sambal, and pair with their winter warmer, Panchi (a freshly squeezed juice with a shot of rum).
6. Grab a friend and shop for your Christmas party wardrobe

With a whole host of shops at Glasgow Fort – from Zara, Pandora, River Island and M&S to Foot Asylum, OFFICE, New Look and H&M – enjoy some late-night retail therapy and stock up on essentials for the festive season. And our latest addition, Mango, mean's your winter wardrobe will be better than ever.
Why not make a trip out of it and bring a friend along? They can help you pick the perfect outfits, encourage you to try on new styles and after the shopping is done, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants at Glasgow Fort. Our stores are open until 10pm weekdays and 8pm on Saturdays,and even later the week before Christmas and are usually a little quieter after 6pm, so visiting us in the evening is a good way to shop at a more leisurely pace.
7. Enjoy a new release on the big screen
Head to Vue to catch the latest movies. After a long day at work, a cinema trip is perfect to just sit back, relax and enjoy the film. With lots of screens of pure entertainment, there are always plenty of options, however it’s best to plan ahead.
This Christmastime, the blockbuster release is Avatar 2: The Way of Water, or watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, released in November. Plus a range of live events including the Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker.
