7 of the best ways to spend a summer evening at Glasgow Fort

With stores open until 10pm weekdays and 8pm Saturdays, and many restaurants open until 10 or 11pm, we’ve got plenty to tempt you with.

  1. Customise your order at Five Guys

Five Guys is just one of the many places to eat at Glasgow Fort and prides itself on making succulent, hand-formed burgers specially to order, served alongside mouth-watering, hand-cut fries. Its menu offers up to 15 free toppings for each of its burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches, meaning you have more than 250,000 combinations to choose from. Add to that the milkshake mix-ins, offering 1,000 possible combinations, and the choice is practically endless. Whether you want to stick to the classics or go big on the customisation, at Five Guys you’ll always get exactly what you want.

  1. Relaxed dining at Wagamama

If pan-Asian cuisine is more your thing, head to Wagamama and enjoy their incredible new Asian-inspired summer menu, featuring three new hiyashi bowls. There’s no need to book in advance, so rock up any time and take a seat on one of their benches. With all kinds of rice and noodle dishes, alongside fresh salads and shareable sides, it’s the perfect place for a relaxed dinner with a friend. There are desserts, fresh juices, hot drinks, wine, sake and expertly crafted Asian beers too, along with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

  1. Get together at Pizza Hut

It’s time to get together and share a pizza with friends at Pizza Hut. Whether you like a Stuffed Crust, All American Thin, Original Pan, vegan or even gluten-free, there’s something for everyone. Each pizza comes with a salad, and if you fancy even more sides then you can get three for just £13.99. If you’re after a lighter bite, then Pizza Hut’s loaded flatbreads have less than 550 calories each. This summer Pizza Hut has also launched some extra-cheesy specials, including the Melting Steak & Chorizo pizza, and Chicken-izo Melt. There are some great deals to be found too, including discounts for groups of four or more, so it’s worth checking their website before you set off.

  1. Turn up the heat at Nando’s

Head to Nando’s Glasgow Fort to taste the legendary flame-grilled PERi PERi chicken dishes and mouth-watering sides. The new summer menu offers a delicious selection of plant-based options including the Rainbow Bowl, which features spiced grains, rainbow slaw, long-stem broccoli, pickled golden carrot with houmous and a sprinkle of seeds. Yum.

  1. Make every night a Friday night

With flowing cocktails and charismatic bartenders, every night feels like a Friday night at TGI Fridays! Choose from a whole host of amazing cocktail creations, from a Pornstar Martini and Tequila Sunrise to a Moscow Mule, Old Fashioned or Paloma. Pair them with a freshly made to order flame-grilled burger or tender 28-day aged seasoned steak and make it a night to remember. There are also plenty of delicious no and low alcohol cocktails on offer, from a Grapefruit Seltzer to a Ginless Garden, as well as fish and vegetarian food options to cater to all.

Why not make a trip out of it and bring a friend along? They can help you pick the perfect outfits, encourage you to try on new styles and, after the shopping is done, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants at Glasgow Fort. Our stores are open until 10pm weekdays and 8pm on Saturdays, and are usually a little quieter after 6pm, so visiting us in the evening is a good way to shop at a more leisurely pace.
